Earthquake Ridge loop trail parallels the Talimena Scenic Byway on the north and south sides of Rich Mountain. The trail offers limited scenic overlooks and have minor rock formations to view. The trail system crosses the Talimena Scenic Byway twice.

Earthquake Ridge Trail was
developed to provide hiking and biking
opportunities for visitors to the Talimena
Scenic Drive.
The trail was named for a rock formation
found not far off the trail.

From State Hwy. 71 at Mena, take State Hwy. 88 north for two miles to the East End Visitor Information Center, located on your right.

we did it again today. Let me tell you it is a tough one. some parts youre going straight up. completed the whole system in 1 hour and 20 minutes.

This was our first trail trek this season. I LOVE it!! We hike it 2 sometimes 3 times a week. We've also got our time down to 28 minutes to finish!!
With this trail you don't only get a great workout but beautiful views. There is also a great up hill and down hill variance.
Highly recommended
