Boardwalk / Catwalk Trails Loop is a 1.5 mile loop trail located near Palo Alto, California and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
Actually, it is possible to do a 6 mile loop all around the palo alto baylands. You'll come across lots of runners, bird watchers, and families on bikes. On weekdays a convalescent home brings a bunch of old folk out for a walk. This park is accessible by Shoreline, the parking lot near the Palo Alto airport, or there is a path under 101 off of E. Bayshore near the business complexes.
There isn't much shade and it could get dusty during a hot day. Sometimes the smell of pollen or bird poo gets strong in places.
