My dad and I only hiked the loop which was about 5-6 miles or so. We went around the left side of the mountain instead of taking the direct route right up the hill. The left side was at times washed out by snow which was a fun experience in itself. Eventually we made it to the top of the mountain and the rocky boulders and were rewarded with amazing views of the pass. With the snowy mountains it was pretty magnificent. We tried climbing even higher up the rocks, but the loose gravel type rocks made it hard. So I ended up doing some rock surfing which was awesome!
