Pine Creek Trail (Curecanti) is a 2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Gunnison, CO that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Follow the beautiful Pine Creek as it cascades into the depths of the upper Black Canyon to Morrow Point Reservoir. Then take a walk along the old narrow gauge railroad bed along the reservoir. Learn area history by reading the interpretive signs on the trail. Check for ticks during summer months.

This trail is typically utilized for the boat tour on the south side of the Black Canyon to the Morrow Point Reservoir. It starts with a 180 feet (232 stairs) descent to the reservoir. It then follows the reservoir/river for about a mile. The trail eventually tails off as the banks are too narrow for a trail. There is fishing access along this trail.
