Short hike to a beautiful lake.

Short hike in and out. Be sure not to be fooled by the first unimpressive body of water. Bloomington Lake is farther along and worth the walk. There are fish in the lake although they are small. Often there is a rope swing which will drop you into the freezing water.

Pretty drive up Bloomington canyon. Gravel road which is usually in good condition.

There are non-flushing toilets at the parking area.

I love this hike. Although short, the lake is a beautiful scene. Short enough hike that my young children had little difficulty. If you are daring bring your swim suit and go off the rope swing that is occasionally there. Be warned that the lake is extremely cold.
