We went on this hike earlier in the morning. We beat the crowds coming in. It is a wide paved path. Wish there were markings on the path to tell how far you've gone. It was cloudy when we got to the top so we couldn't really see a lot. Appalachian trail crosses at the peak. It was definitely easier on the way back. We will probably return in the off season and hopefully it will be clear.

It's a steep hike, but not as bad as Max Patch or Chimney's. The view at sunrise and sunset are fantastic. It was great short hike with a rewarding view at the end. I'll go back.

It's an all uphill climb but totally worth it! The view from the dome is breathtaking
