Just hike this trail yesterday, the trail leading to the viewpoint is in great condition and the falls look like they would be magnificent to see close up, however if you try to hike beyond the viewpoint the trail is very steep, narrow with lots of logs blocking the trail. We actually lost the trail about 1/2 mile to the falls and had turn back :( great project for someone to clear or we'll lose this beautiful hike!

Totally agree with all of Matthew Conrad's comments. Worth doing if you're going all the way to the base of the falls, but sadly it looks as if the trail past the halfway viewpoint is going to disappear in another year or so from lack of use. Definitely a good hike if you want a really beautiful waterfall to yourself!

Great 2-3 hour hike! The trail is not well traveled past the viewpoint, and was more difficult the last mile to the falls. More peaceful than most nearby waterfall hikes, but a great one to do on a busy weekend.
