Dickey Knob Trail is a 4.8 mile out and back trail located near Sugar Grove, Virginia that features a river. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for camping, hiking & mountain biking.

Directions from Damascus, VA: The trail begins in Raccoon Branch Campground. Travel U.S. 58 east for approximately 6.5 miles, U.S. 58 veers rights, however, you will want to continue straight onto Rt. 603. Take Rt. 603 for about 10 miles to Troutdale. Turn left onto Rt. 16 and travel approximately 3 miles to the campground. If you are not using the campground, park across Rt. 16, about 50 yards south of the campground entrance.

Great climb to where a firetower once stood. Only thing remaining from the tower are the concrete footers. There are two benchmarks located here. Great view of Rye Valley just before reaching the firetower ruines.
