This is a great place to take beginner hikers, anyone just starting to venture into the outdoors, and kids of all ages including those in strollers. There are plenty of paved roads that make for even and easy walking. There are a lot of spots for picnicking, too. For hikers, it's not much of a hike, although the scenery is really beautiful. The trees are magnificent! There are also a lot of different trails you can take off the road that will change up the terrain for you. Although the vast majority of it still remains easy. So, what I like to do when I feel it's too easy is to just add more kick to my step and take a trail run. Because of the paved roads, and flat trails (except around the lake, it's a little overgrown and uneven), this is a good place to do some easy trail running and rehab an injured ankle like mine.

It's a very pretty site and despite the other comments it is a fairly busy place. I wen there early in the morning during the weekend and a lot of people were walking on the road around the lake for their workout. The trail around the lake is very pretty, there are a lot of ducks and few turtles in a side pond. Great place to walk around with your kids or dogs.
Hikers if you are looking for a little challenge, sorry to disappoint you but this is not the place. It is very flat and short.

This is a great hidden jewel with lots of great places to picnic or sit down and enjoy the peacefulness. The pond is definitely the highlight but make sure to explore the many other trails

So much options here. Easy to moderate. Several different trails that vary from dense forest to typical canyon hills. Really hate to post here about it, as it is a hidden gem. We hiked for about 2.5 hours, and 5 miles and didn't double back any aside from the trek up Lake Drive back to the car

Nice short hike, a good quick workout. Could not get to the top, they have it fenced off right now

Not difficult, but more of an easy moderate. I ran it and the whole trip was probably 45 minutes. If you walk it it's probably 2hrs. Finding the parking lot was a bit tricky. The trail has a few spots that overlook LA and the ocean which is cool.

I don't think it should be rated as difficult, but it's a nice short hike with some decent views.

I don't really consider this one a "hike"- it won't really give u a workout but if you're a beginner & you're looking for a pretty and easy starting point, this is probably it.
