Pretty flat and then moves into pretty steep terrain. I think it needs more Switchbacks but it probably is not intended for a mountain bike. I am intermediate rider on an entry-level GT Palomar. Going down was pretty tho. Overall I would say difficulty is moderate for biking, downhill moderate. Just be prepared to work to get to the top.
