Trail would have been a 4 star if we didn't have to walk on the road to get back to where we started (Monkey Road). First half was less enjoyable but that may have been because it was wet and rainy when we went. The second half has amazing views of Fall Creek. A good hike, pretty easy, would recommend to do when not rainy.

We did the out and back section of the Rim Trail, but unfortunately because of recent rains the Gorge trail section was closed. It was a good hike just the same.

Even during a thunderstorm Buttermilk Falls State Park is still a great hike and always beautiful!

The falls are beautiful. One of the busier trails. I would recommend going during the week or early morning. Relatively short hike but the gorge trail is a bit steep and challenging at times so still a good workout!

Amazing! My new favorite spot. It is VERY steep though, I'm 23 and athletic and I would say it's more like a cliff than steep hill haha.

Not for "very experienced outdoorsman". I walk this trail about every day and while the uphill has many stairs, my 80 year old mom did it. The moderately fit can handle it easily. It is all paved with hand rails and such and is a beautiful and short jaunt. Not open in the winter. Take a lunch and eat by a waterfall.
