Trail reviews for Dartmoor National Park
Great walk. Lots of different scenery. Some lanes to walk through but they were really quiet. The views in Dartmoor are gorgeous. Walking through Gidleigh it does have a private road sign but I had no both. I would definitely go again.
A lot of sheep on the Dartmoor side so leads needed, but off lead on other side of river.
A really beautiful trail that has some gorgeous views! If you don’t want a route that involves very steep hills then this isn’t for you but if you like a bit of a challenge then this is the one! We saw some beautiful Dartmoor ponies which was lovely and the view from the top was breathtaking <3
Clearly defined circular route around Southern Dartmoor. Clear & cool with light breeze.
Demanding walk up a number of Tors. First hike on Dartmoor, unexpectedly found trail quite boggy in places and a bit vague to follow, but soon back on track. Advice from previous reviewer about the firing range website excellent as yesterday a large part of the trail would of been closed. £3.40 for four hours parking not long enough for me.
Great for Dartmoor pony spotting and cow spotting, very steep but really accessible and can be done gently if needed! Worth the view at the top and the pint and a roast after
