Best trails in Guadeloupe National Park
Created in 1989 as the first overseas national park, the Parc national de la Guadeloupe is located in the Caribbean, one of the world's biodiversity hotspots. This protected area is made up of a multitude of different ecosystems, all characteristic of the diversity of tropical environments. Coral reefs, mangroves, swamp forests, rainforests and volcanic slopes are all found side by side, making it a particularly diverse protected area. Its island location has enabled the development of endemic species over the years, contributing to the exceptional character of the territory.
In addition to these exceptional biological riches, the National Park and its partners are also committed to protecting the cultural richness of this territory, shaped by the various migrations that have enriched it and given it its distinctive character.
