#1 - Mount Carmila and Kisalon River Circuit

This is a beautiful scenic trail around the historic Mount Carmila, which also meets the Kisalon River (הר כרמילה ונחל כסלון) and multiple viewpoints where hikers can connect with nature. Scenic views of the valley below can be seen from the peak of Mount Carmila, and there are multiple campsites in the direct vicinity.

#2 - Shvil Hamaayanot and Yad Kennedy Memorial

This route of Shvil Hamaayanot and the Yad Kennedy Memorial (שביל המעיינות ויד קנדי) is suitable for all seasons. Nestled between the mountains of Jerusalem are hundreds of small hidden springs, which flow out of the mountain to saturate the surrounding vegetation. Over the years, man has learned to cultivate the water from these springs to irrigate agricultural areas. The spectacular view of the Jerusalem mountains will envelop travelers along the entire route.

#3 - Kisalon Spring and Bnei Brit Cave

This is a family friendly loop around the Kisaon Spring (נחל כסלון ומערת בני ברית) area, abundant in small pools and historic sites, such as the Bnei Brit Cave, making this the perfect summer outing spot. This beautiful trail is ideal for weekends and is especially beautiful during the spring when the area comes to life with beautiful blooms and almond trees.

#4 - Carmilla Mountain Loop from Beit Meir

This beautiful route begins just outside of Beit Meir and loops around Mount Carmilla (סובב הר כרמילה) and offers fantastic views of the rich forests surrounding the mountain. This trail passes directly over the summit of Mount Carmilla where incredible vistas of the area can be taken in by all who hike this loop trail.

#5 - Israeli National Trail and Northern Nahal Kisalon Loop

This trail runs along parts of the Israel National Trail, marked in white, blue and orange, and loops around the Northern section of the Kislon River (שביל ישראל ונחל כסלון צפוני) The Kislon River is one of the largest rivers flowing around the Jerusalem mountains and is the site of many antiquities sites and village ruins.

#6 - Nahal Kisalon via Hakdoshim Forest

This is a route around the Kisalon River and HaKdoshim Forest (נחל כסלון דרך יער הקדושים). HaKdoshim Forest (translates to forest of holy ones) paints the Judean mountains green in the area outside of Jerusalem. Six million trees grow in the forest and each tree serves as a green memorial candle for those who perished in the Holocaust. The KKL-JNF planted HaKadoshim Forest in 1951 with a donation from the Bnei Brit organisation and signs hang throughout the forest in memory of communities...

#8 - Bnei Brit Cave to Mount Carmilla

The cave was prepared by Bnei Brith (מערת בני ברית להר כרמילה) and the Jewish National Fund as a memorial site and a place of solidarity with the memory of the holocaust victims at official ceremonies. In 1951, the forest was planted with six million trees in memory of the six million jews who perished in the holocaust. #9 - Yad Kennedy, Fisher Junction and Saadim Ruins

This is a beautiful route around the Jerusalem mountains, which begins next to the Yad Kennedy Memorial and proceeds into the forest past the Saadim ruins and campsite, and onwards to Fisher Junction (יד קנדי צומת פישר וחורבת סעדים) before returning to the start. The trail also passes through the Yehuda Mountains National Park and Mount Salmon on the way.

#10 - Nahal Kisalon Trail to Ein Limon

This trail proceeds along a red marked route which runs the entirety of the Kisalon River (שביל לאורך נחל כסלון לעין לימון). Proceed along the red route until reaching the Ein Limon Spring, near Ein Rafa. The area is especially beautiful during the spring and can become quite popular during the weekend.
