This is a memorable short circular route with impressive views of fantastic rock formations. Sheer cliffs and precariously balanced columns of Dolerite rise 120 metres from the valley floor. This is the product of volcanic and erosive forces of nature over 100 million years. Beside the insane views, any visitor to the Camdeboo National Park will also be surprised to discover the diversity of fauna and flora.

Great route for all ages and abilities for walking, running and mountain biking. The trail takes you on a jeep track up and onto the lower slopes of the mountain. The hills are not too tough and the views are worth it. There are many flat sections and so its fun for the whole family. It can get pretty hot mid day so early morning or late afternoons are best in summer.

This large stretch of water is normally well fed by the Gats, Pienaar and Sundays rivers, but alas, years of below average rainfall have resulted in alarming low dam levels. It's still a place of great natural beauty with flamingoes and other bird life abounds. The dam is used for aquatic sports as well as fishing.
