Best trails in Tomaree National Park
Tomaree National Park is located on the coast of New South Wales, on Worimi land and the shores of the Tasman Sea. Its landscape consists of beautiful white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters that are bordered by bush forests, which in turn are home to several animal species including koalas and many birds. Two main features of the park are Point Stephens Lighthouse and the Tomaree Head Fortifications. There are a handful of short bushwalking trails in the park.

Trail reviews for Tomaree National Park
Stephens Park was definitely hard and raised the heart rate, last part to the top of Mount Tomaree was a good ascent! Rest was mainly fire trails and a great walk.
Start early, before day break so you can enjoy the colours cascade at sunrise. Best to follow all trails map when you go first time cause it’s a less than obvious trail up the peak. It was very upity up and I needed some rest stops, also pushed aside many spider webs But worth every bit, the solitude was fabulous. Much more pleasant than the busy trail up Tomaree
Part of Tomaree Coast Walk. Great track, easy walking partly through coastal bush and partly on beaches - good idea to check tides. Parking at both ends, toilets at One Mile Beach and Boat Habour Beach
Great walk, from One Mile Beach along Tomaree Coastal walk. Moderate single trail, some climbing but generally not too bad.
Breaking the trip at One Mile was genius. Hot showers, soft bed, bottle of wine. But we only just made it by dusk as we started trail at 1.30pm ditching the climb up to Mt Tomaree to make it in time.
An enjoyable walk. We parked at Boat Harbour beach where there is easy parking and facilities. We decided to take the Tomaree Coastal Track the last bit as this is the most spectacular route back to Boat Harbour. Some directions a bit confusing so AL app useful. Track sandy, a bit rubbly and rocky, but quite easy.
