The Glass House Mountains National Park is located just outside the Sunshine Coast and just under an hour from Brisbane. It has an awe-inspiring landscape that consists of huge volcano cores that are 26 million years old sprouting from the flat plains with the remnants of the open Eucalypt woodland and heathy vegetation that would have dominated this area before European settlement. There is also pine plantations and mixed farmland found through out the plains. This area is so unique that it is part of the Queensland and National Heritage Register and was only established in 1994.

Trail reviews for Glass House Mountains National Park
Make sure you’re relatively fit and confident with scrambling or have climbing experience. Down-climbing could be tricky if you overestimate your ability. A fun and engaging hike with beautiful views of surrounding Glass House Mountains and ocean.
First off this track I consider Moderate. It is not too strenuous and suitable for most ages, however there is a lot of step walking to consider. 360° views are spectacular to soak up all of the Glass House Mountains. The descent went by quicker than expected. Definitely try this one. Plenty of parking.
Fantastic hike with great views of the glass house mountains and local bushland.
Combined soldiers, tibrogargan, trachyte circuit and Yul-Yan-man loop. Amazing way to experience the whole of the glass house mountains. Tibrogargan is a steep rock scramble in parts, views worth it.
I agree with those who say that this walk is a leg killer! The path is no longer really a path, it is downright a road, the entire ground is concreted. Prepare yourself to be leaning all the way, your ankles will be put to work. Benches are available on the path to allow you a little rest for your legs and a refreshment break. A little courage, as well as a little cardio, and you will be rewarded with a very beautiful view of the Glass House Mountains.
Beautiful trail with different terrains, made me see Glass House Mountains as from a different angle The toughest bit was the steep incline heading to the glass house Mountains lookout.
