This is an absolute gem of a hike to the tallest point in the Whitsundays, Whitsunday Peak. Accessible by boat from Cid Harbour, this walk is a steady uphill slog all the way to the summit.
The trail is short, only about 2km to the top of the peak, but the steepness can certainly get to you. It is worth pushing through, though, as the views from the summit are some of the best you can get in all of Whitsunday Islands National Park.

A short but stunning walk on one of the islands the Whitsundays in Queensland. Access is only via boat, like the other islands in the area. But once there it is paradise.
The walk starts with a short climb to a lookout that has stunning views of the surrounding islands. Then it heads back down and along the sand spit from which the island is famous. Low tide is the best time to walk it as at higher tides it can be underwater. Take lunch and swimming gear and make a day of it.
